Designing a logo for your business can often be a challenging task – involving time, resources and internal debate. A good logo sets the stage for your company’s visual brand for years to come. Your logo is the foundation of your brand. Your logo’s design not only influences how your customers (and the rest of the world) perceive your brand—it also dictates the colors, fonts, and graphics that will be used in your marketing materials. From email signatures all the way up to your website, your logo design holds power. So what is a Logo? Your logo is a symbol, sign, wordmark or emblem. Logos tend to be graphical in nature, designed for easy recognition of an organization across different mediums. What is Brand? A brand is the idea or image of a specific product or service that consumers connect with, by identifying the name, logo, slogan, or design of the company. Branding is when that idea or image is marketed so that it is recognizable by more and more people, and identified with a certain service or product when there are many other companies offering the same service or product. Simply, your brand is the emotional and psychological relationship… Read More»

How to get away with Branding

logo design, web design , website deisgn, social media management, website maintence, website hack repair, SEO, grapgic design , huntsville, al , ga, tn. miss, huntsville

Branding is the process of aligning the opinions people hold about your brand with the set of thoughts you want them to believe and trust. Apple has done an excellent job of branding its’ company and changing the rules along the way. Apple blew up the rules of branding because Steve Jobs simply didn’t follow the traditional rules, and he never did what he was supposed to do. He knew that someone else’s success wouldn’t be his own, because it’s a fact that imitating others has never resulted in great successes. It’s just great flattery. The rules that criminal-law professor Annalise Keating tells her students to follow if they want to win a case on the hit TV show, How to get away with murder is: Discredit the witness. Find a new suspect. Bury the evidence. Through the television series there are several lessons learned by the student. In this article, we will take the same approach; so pay attention. At the end of the quarter, a grade will be given and it will be measured by the implementation of these rules and the success of your brand. Trust the witness Good branding starts with people aka your witness. People… Read More»

Photography: Aston Martin Lagonda with Tomek Olszowski

Photography: Aston Martin Lagonda with Tomek Olszowski abduzeedo Feb 17, 2017 Aston Martin Lagonda with Tomek Olszowski is a photography and retouching project shared by Recom Farmhouse and Tomek Olszowski on their Behance profiles. As they describe in the project: Cult cars don’t come much less conventional than the Aston Martin Lagonda. Only 645 were ever made, and they’re like no other car before or since. “The wedge-shaped body is the height of a Porsche 911 but over five metres long, with an outrageously space-age dashboard.” The photography and art direction of this project is simply amazing. There’s a classic noir mood, and despite the 70s appeal, it reminds me a lot of the 80s with the color palette used. “This isn’t a car so much as a mobile pop-cultural mash-up, the intersection of a dozen different ideas, many of which are at odds with each other.” (Top Gear) Project description In this shoot, a touch of seventies noir accents the car’s angular forms, and we introduced it to the kind of driver which its retro-futuristic style deserves. Web Design: Squarespace Re-design

Web Design: Squarespace Re-design abduzeedo Jan 23, 2017 Squarespace Re-Design is a web design and art direction project shared by Peter Bagi on his Behance profile. I have been a fan of Squarespace pretty much since they started. I thought about moving ABDZ to their service, however it’s not an easy task, even though it’s still in my plans. Back to the project, the new design follows the simplicity and the black and white theme that have become almost their signature.  There’s much more to love and I feel that they achieves something extraordinary with less imagery and much more typography. The project was broken up into different phases. Concepting, wireframing/UX, design iterations, prototyping with Principle and finally full development. My role was to create sub features pages along with helping support the design leads on the main page design. The main page web design features some quite elegant solutions for footer and an interesting grid system with two columns but with different widths apparently. It’s an smart solution to create a look that feels more editorial. Another signature component of their brand was preserved, the Gotham font for titles, headings and links. They use Gothan always in all caps. Another… Read More»

6 Reasons Why You Must Optimize Your Website for Mobile

The numbers are so skewed that even the word “staggering” seems conservative. More than half of all web traffic is accessed through a smartphone. Guess what? If you think we’re still living in a desktop/laptop world, you’re wrong. Those stodgy old devices are nearly as anachronistic as a dinosaur grazing in your backyard. If you don’t optimize your website for mobile devices, you’re essentially telling half the potential customers in the world, “I don’t want your business.” Still don’t believe us? Here are the primary benefits of responsive web design which are the important reasons why your company should have it. 1. The World is Mobile The term “responsive design” means a website is designed to adapt itself across a variety of devices. A responsive website should look good on both a large screen laptop and a tiny smartphone screen, the latter with a minimum of scrolling and resizing. The reality is that 1.2 billion people access the Internet via smartphone. Another way to look at it is that 80 percent of all Internet users have a smartphone. There was a day when website owners could afford to ignore this market segment, but those days are long gone, never to… Read More»

Motion Design: Nickelodeon Kids Pick The President

Motion Design: Nickelodeon Kids Pick The President abduzeedo Jan 24, 2017 Nickelodeon Kids pick The President is a motion design and illustrations project shared by M A D E B Y R A D I O. As the name suggest, its a series of illustrations and motion design work for the 2016 presidential election in the USA. There’s just too many things to love about this motion design project. Starting for the amazing sketches, that by themselves, would have been enough for us to feature the project. The translation to 3D is for lack of better word, stunning. It is fun and really smooth. The inflatable White House is one of my favorite pieces. We worked with Nickelodeon to create a bunch of animated spots for the 2016 Presidential Election. Nickelodeon stages their own child based national election and has correctly predicted the winner every single time – except for once.
