Weather Buluttan – UI/UX

Weather Buluttan – UI/UX AoiroStudio Dec 28, 2016 Weather Apps some will be a perfect fit for you and some won’t. To me, it’s an app that I use every single day, knowing the weather for your daily activities or even prepping your drive around town or your destination. Pretty useful! We are showing the work from Cüneyt Sen who is an Art Director based in Istanbul, Turkey. I really dig the UI work from Cüneyt and his usability to create a friendly user experience as well. From this design, I really enjoyed what he did for the colour palette with the gradients but mostly the subtle detail about swiping through different sections. Product Design Concept: Sketch iPad

Product Design Concept: Sketch iPad abduzeedo Dec 28, 2016 Sketch iPad is a product design concept created an shared by Andrii Bondar on his Behance page. When I saw the post for a moment I thought it was real but then checking it was clear it was an exercise. That said, I still dream on seeing a tool like Sketch being ported to a tablet. Many times I tried to switch from a laptop to a tablet, however there’s no tools that would allow me to do my work. This concept highlights some good things but awesome some of the biggest challenges, in my opinion, the tap targets that the finger requires for accuracy. It’s an excellent exercise for sure, definitely worth checking it out. Andrii is a designer with 6 years experience in Branding/UI/UX sphere His primary skills: mobile application design, interface design, interface animation, user experience, graphic design, branding. A Beautiful and Cozy Prefab in São Paulo

A Beautiful and Cozy Prefab in São Paulo GisMullr Dec 30, 2016 For the last Beautiful Houses post of the year we will show you, once again, that a lot of times less is more in architecture too. Take a look at this inspiring prefab home in Catuçaba, São Paulo, a project by MAPA. Beautiful wood, huge glass windows, cozy interior and breathtaking surroundings. In my opinion these are the main characteristics of this home. I’m pretty sure this is the perfect spot to keep all of your inspiration juices flowing. Check it out! Make sure to check out MAPA website for further information about this and other inspiring projects. See you next week. 🙂 Description from the architects: Living in Remote Landscapes. MINIMOD CATUÇABA is a primitive retreat with a contemporary reinterpretation, which more than an object aims to become an every-remote-landscape experience. MINIMOD presents an alternative to traditional construction: based on prefab plug&play logics, it incorporates the benefits that a newly-born industry has to offer. Quiet but not shy, its unique-in-Brazil CLT Wood-Technology combines industrialized products’ efficiency and new technologies’ sustainability with the sensitivity of the natural material par excellence. Reboot Capsule Hotel – Branding and Visual Identity

Reboot Capsule Hotel – Branding and Visual Identity AoiroStudio Jan 02, 2017 I can’t help myself to really enjoy the concept of staying in a capsule hotel, I had my experience during my trip to Japan. What was the most interesting is the fact that you are totally submerging yourself to the unknown, free to the hotel experience and also the language for the case of my past story. For the case of this particular hotel, giving the users the most friendly user experience as possible to keep the simple circulation of operations. Let’s take a look at the work from Kevin Renaldy Candra who is a graphic designer based in Shanghai, China. He worked on the identity, branding and web design for a capsule boutique hotel called REBOOT located in Singapore. The design layouts shared a common path for the users to easily navigate through the steps and stationery. Reboot is an Capsule Boutique Hotel in Singapore led by multicultural team. We were asked to create an identity that is both friendly and dynamic, and redefine their website. Reboot came to us in need of some fresh new branding and an equally creative online presence. As fans of their… Read More»

Illustration: The New York Times Gift Guide

Illustration: The New York Times Gift Guide AoiroStudio Jan 04, 2017 New York City, it’s been quite a long time I last visited this city. It must be pretty at this time of year with the winter wonderland, well we are featuring an illustration/animation project with Paris-based illustrator Florent Hauchard with Parallel Studio for New York Times. The final result creates the rightful atmosphere of a cityscape scene with so much history and architectural features. Florent Hauchard  is an illustrator and graphic designer based in Paris, France. I recently had the pleasure (and honor) to work with Parallel Studio for The New York Times. As a collaborative work with the team over Parallel Studio , please make sure to watch the little GIFs, they are super subtle and makes you wanna appreciate one view per image at the time. illustration digital art animation

Daily Design Inspiration

Daily Design Inspiration AoiroStudio Aug 08, 2016 Part of the Daily Inspiration series that started it all on Abduzeedo. This is where you’ll find the most interesting things/finds/work curated by one of us to simply inspire your day. Furthermore, it’s an opportunity to feature work from more designers, photographers, and artists in general that we haven’t had the chance to write or feature about in the past. For this Daily we are selecting some works in automotive design, architecture and photography. Our goal is to diversify the types of work and in the future we can perhaps categorize them in different sections. For now we are going to stick to the simple format of images and links. I hope you enjoy and share with use via Twitter or our Tumblr. Until further notice, we’ll display the images and the titles added to them. Because of little issues we had in the past, the images are still linked to their authors, we just won’t mentioned who shared them like we used to. Design Inspiration daily inspiration

Tsuvatt Run of Fury Game Design

Tsuvatt Run of Fury Game Design abduzeedo Aug 08, 2016 The 80s are definitely back after the amazing Stranger Things Netflix show. For some it never went away and some of the designers that I admire the most are masters at keeping the style of that decade alive. One of the cool things about it is of course the video-games. The pixelated badass action games like Double Dragon. We used to play that like crazy. Tsuvatt Run of Fury mobile game design is a project that brings back the 80s in style. Tsuvatt Run of Fury was created and shared by Roman Sokolov a design and illustrator from Minsk, Belarus. For more information make sure to check out his Behance profile. game design 80s

The Sweet Work of Andre Caputo

The “Sweet” Work of Andre Caputo AoiroStudio Aug 09, 2016 We just wanna warn you that the following article might be very “sweet” and you might get temptations at getting a snack. We just wanna warn you first! 🙂 Let’s talk about the ads that we are all encountered every single day. According to CBS News, we are exposed to an average to 5000 ads per day. This is an enormous number when we all know that there are only 24 hours in a day. Among ads about cars, events, campaigns and others; we’ll see a lot of advertising about food. They triggered temptations to simply fulfill your desire to eat. Let’s take a closer look at the work of Andre Caputo, he is a CGI artist and graphic designer based in São Paulo, Brazil. What I love about his work is how close it looks like a photograph, even though we know in the back of our mind that it’s not real. Beautifully done! Here I gather: passion for working with image creation; creativity; disposition to search for new techniques and innovation; esthetic sense and seek for the best quality; eagerness for a great relationship with clients; and discipline,… Read More»

Insightful UX Articles for Designers

Insightful UX Articles for Designers AoiroStudio Aug 09, 2016 We previously share about our recommended UX articles for product designers and we are back with another list of articles about forms, UI minimalism, trends, hover and more. I do love taking the time to read through these articles, there is a lot of great people out there that doesn’t mind sharing their knowledge out there so in the end, we can all create/make beautiful experiences together. It might sound a little cheesy but this is what’s everything is about. UX is changing all the time, what’s been done 6-12 months ago doesn’t necessarily mean that is the best practice or experience for your users. Part of our jobs is to collect the data driven from the users and see what we can improve for the next update or stage. Hope you will find this list useful. Design Better Data Tables by Matthew Ström Fun insightful article on tables, how was it done in the past and what has changed ever since. Gotta love those numeric tables!
